try pressing down the chrome surrounding the vents as well. I did that in addition to relatching the glovebox and the rattle has gone away. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I have the same thing happening. Has not happend in a while. I think it was the cold. It is the passenger side, right air vent. Seems to be the connection between the air tube and vent.
