Anyone Else Mustang-deprived Due To The Snow?
#21
I agree Ortho and trying to keep the car clean is a neverending job but winter here is too long to have the car sitting in garage until summer (because spring is even dirtier than winter). I also thought about having my car stored for the winter and maybe it's what I would have done if I had bought my car in the summer, but now that I have bought good winter tires I will just do my best to clean the salt away and enjoy the car as often as possible while getting better at driving a car with this kind of power in winter conditions. Storing the car for the winter is certainly the best solution to avoid a lot of troubles. But anybody who wish to drive its car all-year long can rest assured this Mustang can do the job!

274 miles and holding till the winter passes and roads repaired. Dirt, salt, and potholes galore, with millions of stones from the broken patchwork. No thanks not for a brand new cruisin car. Besides we have the dailys. Were half way there!

i live in south jersey and so far this year we have gotten about 13" of the crappy white stuff. I do have a winter car but it is killing me that i can't drive my mustang. Road crews up here are hit or miss at best for snow removal so even though my car has 850 miles it has not been driven for about two weeks.
SNOW stinkS SSA!

Freakin' snow go me down. I got the 05 gt at Thanksgiving and I havn't even put 500mi on it yet.
At least it's clean, warm and dry in the stall. Another 6 to 8 weeks of crappy weather to deal with then hopefully the roads will be dry and salt free. I might as well start planning some driving destinations for when the weather clears. Maybe a cruise to Newport RI, Arcadia ME, Mt Washington NH, Berkshires MA, not necessarilly in that order. Looks like I need to go get me some road maps.
Keep your chins up fellow 05'ers it won't be long!!!
Don't forget to start and idle your stang every few days if your not driving it.

It's killin me too. I was tempted to get her out of the garage today but I am sissy.... Thank god for the blue bomber, I don't mind if she looks bad, I try to keep her clean but washing a VW golf in 36degree weather is not what I call, a labor of love.

I drive everyday and so far most of those have been covered in at least 6 inches of snow. I can't wait, about 8 weeks until nice weather starts and I can roll down the windows

Resist the temptation. :nono: Let her rest. Spring will be here soon enough.
