Now we all know that guys at FP and MW are generally biased anti-05 Mustang idiots because they know the new car will make their car look old and antiquated. In any case, this guy on this board claims he is anti-05 and also says the 05 Mustang feels slow.

He had pictures of the car in his driveway. I'm trying to get an idea if this guy is reputable or not. I'm not wasting your time ..

He said it "feels" slow. It was an auto. It has more HP than any stock (GT or v6) stang in how long ... quite a while. I think he's lying 320 ft/lbs of torque can't feel slow.
Also, every other person who has been in a moving 05 said that it pushes you back nicely.

It's his opinion, is what'd I say. It's all conjecture until someone we know and trust drives the thing (i.e. maybe one of us).
I couldn't read much more of the thread, it seemed to be all signature pictures.

Read the rest of that page, and you'll see how much these guys' opinions are worth. They're saying a new platform was for the sake of weight, not, say, A TWENTY-FIVE YEAR OLD PLATFORM.
And man, you guys have low sig tolerance. You'd have an anneurism at some of the boards where I post.

If this guy really did have the 05 at his house...how did it get there. I would think ford would be a little more careful with these cars. I mean this guy is claiming he drove it. That seems a little far-fetched to me.

From dustin in the other thread:
How can it not feel fast then? I call on the guys story.
When you slam the gas, the car leans to the right from the engine torque, like a giant diesel truck.

It's kind of funny. These guys are supposed to be knowlegeable. And yet one asks what kind of distributor it's running. Last I checked it's been almost 10 years since there was a distributor in a stang. At least in the 4.6 motors. And the twin throttle body from the LT1. I guess he hasn't seen a cobra motor.

Which is why I didn't want to even bother reading the thread. I can get all my info here, and it has a much much higher probability of being right here as well.

Umm...if Traction Control was on...wouldn't that stop the wheels from breaking? I really find it hard to believe a moving 300hp car can't break its wheels from the ground on wet pavement. I can break the wheels with my 200hp on wet pavement...
Can't see the pics either...
