This topic has been discussed before but now that time has passed. Has anyone heard of any companies that might take on the simple task of makin a gosh darn manifold cover . I would of thought SOMEONE would have jumped all over this one.

I agree. The cover makes a big difference in the appearance. Where can we get one?

In addition to making our desires known here, we also need to make them known to Ford and the aftermarket. Let's e-mail Ford and aftermarket suppliers and let them know (politely, in the case of Ford especially) that we would REALLY like to see the intake cover back, perhaps as part of the IUP package if they cannot do it standard.

For a goof I have sent the pic to a metal casting company here in New York. My father just so happens to know some one that works there. Will find out what it takes to get a part like this to be built

I contacted SEMA and several companies are at work on intake manifold covers. I think Ford had a subcontractor do the one we've seen. Give it time...

I want one now, but since I have to wait on the car then I will have to wait on the cover.

It's a trade off between getting that smile evertime you raise the hood and count to 8 (or 6) and seeing "Powered by Ford." Either way you can't lose.

I dont care either way about a plastic cover. Its just something that gets in the way while modding the car.

What does everyone think the price will be? The Corvette fuel rail covers are about $40 for a replacement set (plastic). Granted the aftermarket guys have a little more cost in manufacturing, but I think someone should be able to make one and sell for less than $50. If made out of metal, I'm thinking it would $100 or less.

What does everyone else think?
