Another SE Package?
Ok, maybe it's just me, but I had no idea this existed.

Are we going to have to link the CS and SGT forums now??

It's not a California Special as in GT/CS. It's just a Shelby GT in G.O. Which is what I'm guessing makes it a limited edition, but I have no idea what colors they're offered in.

Every dealership I have been in (Southern California) has 2-3 of these on the lot with ADM of $7500 to $10,000. They don't seem to be selling. I think it's nice but not at the markup they want.

200 or so of the 2008 Shelby GT's were Grabber Orange (apparently available only to SoCal dealers as it was not listed our ordering info here in the NW). All remaining 2008 Shelby GT's are Vista Blue with Silver Stripes.

Good catch! But, I'm sure that was just a silly oversight on the part of the seller to include the gearing with the power enhancing items.
Gears are a torque multiplier, by definition, so steeper gears can effectively increase the amount of work (torque) that is done. It will not translate into any higher numbers on a dyno, but will translate into better acceleration on the street and track.

Yee Gads! That's a lot of grabber orange!
I thought it was just a case of me not being aware of it. Didn't see the info, and when the ebay ad said it was a "California" special, I assumed it meant CT/CS instead of "available in the southwest, and mainly..California". Ah well. It's a pretty sweet car, but I think I'll stick with VB...except that I have a Mustang GT and not a SHELBY GT...

Seriously? A BJ shelby...does it come with a denture free BJ with the ADM?! I have a lot of respect for what he's accomplished and some of the cars he's made, but thinks are getting ridiculous...
By the way, I love the look and color of the GO SGT, but there is no way that thing is worth more than $31K...I built one my self (Tungsten), before the SGT came out, for less than that, off the shelf from Ford...

Gotta agree just because Ron Pratte lives at Barrett Jackson and buys all of Carrol Shelby's old cars does not mean there needs to be a BJ Edition of any Shelby car. It just seems like it drives the overall value of all current Shelby's down due to the fact that special editions not only need to be relatively exclusive (which this is), but also for a good purpose (which this isn't).
To me it just seems to drive the image that Shelby is making all they can while they can, before it's over. Instead, it seems like they should be putting their name behind quality performance that will keep their name at the forfront of at least the Mustang world for the forseeable future. Kind of a shame really.
