Alutec Drift Stang
Hey gang,
Just got back from the Recaro Tuning Event that was held at Hockenheim, Germany. I only saw two 05' and up Mustangs on display at the event and one was set up for drift. Here is the Alutec Drift Stang.

not bad not a huge fan of that body kit i believe it`s the limited edition hot wheels carbon fiber kit....I do love the new 07 Ken Gushi drift stang it looks great althought it has been smashed up quite a bit this season......nice find

Ya, Europeans have a slightly different flavor on this side of the pond. They really love their Lambo doors and exotic body kits. I don't know what type of Supercharger they had under the hood, but the Stang sounded like a beast drifting through Sachs curve.

are these cars even going fast enough for any potential downforce from that rediculous wing or is it just a style thing? and wouldn't you not want downforce on the rear? I mean drifting isn't about speed.

Yeah, that body kit is terrible, and no Doug, there would be no need for the Wing. You are correct that drifting would not incur the speeds needed for any type of racing wing.
Speaking of drifting, check out the thread I'm starting in a minute which has a link to drifting video of an 05 Stang.

There would be no benefit of that ugly "tuner" wing on the back for drifting. ADRENALIN - you can drift like that - just takes a little practice, (see the youtube link below). I do like the hood though. I agree with MURPHY77 - Ken Gushi's mustang is nice ! The 06 is my third mustang - I've drifted all three - this one is the easiest to control (not much body roll making the weight transfer very easy and predictable).
