When it rains it pours. Is it possible that the '05 has an endless supply of problems? Get a load at the latest issues I'm having. This is getting ridiculous. When you use your fob and press the panic button, this is supposed to sound the alarm. Understood. So what do you do when the darn thing goes off when you simply use the fob to unlock the door? It does it to me randomly. I've noticed it for about a month and a half. never did it before. Out of the blue, it will suddenly decide it wants to sound off the alarm when I hit the unlock button on the fob. Maybe once out of every 10 unlocks. Anyone else have this? Gas tank, popping struts, shaker/spitter 500, pinging, clunks, loud dash rattles, bumpy ride and hard suspension, bad alarms, tranny clunk, throttle lag and hesitation....it's making me madddd.....madddd, I've had them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Can't something go right!!!??!

Here's the problems I've had with my car-
Strut Popping
CD Player Skipping
Check Engine Light (Twice)
<all fixed>
Problems with the gas tank (once in awhile it happens...turn nozzle upside down and I don't have any problem)

I did have a problem where the alam went off for no reason (one morning at work it went off a couple of times...no problem since then).

I would suggest that you take the car to the dealer and have the alarm system checked (as well as all the other problems you're having with the car)

THE FOB messed?

Is it accidently pushing the panic button with the unlock?
Like not you, but the contact inside the FOB?

Just a thought....

Have you tried using the other FOB that came with the car? Just a thought.

If you have the factory installed active anti theft system, the dealer tech can query the SJB to determine why your alarm is going off.

Have them check the 'Last 4 Alarm Events' PID - this will tell them exactly what set the alarm off the last four times.

If and when you get a false alarm again, take it in and have them check it out. Let us know what you find.

I think it is the FOB. I've used my other fob for over a week and everything no probs. By now, it would have done it already based on how it was acting up. I'm guessing somehow the bad fob has gotten messed up somehow with the wiring or something, setting off panic when unlocking the door. I think I'll just ask them for a replacement.
