Well how are you checking on other orders, just trying previous numbers to your order number? I would like to know how you are finding out about cars before yours. Thanks for any info.

 

 

What I do is call the erl and list the order numbers prior to mine ie...mine is 2010, so i check 2009 2008 2007 ect. This will only work if your dealer uses their order numbers in a chronological order. If they use the date of order (as some dealers do) for the order number, then this wouldn't be possible. Also, if it says that there isn't any information for the vehicle, make sure to try it again using the other mustang code (t85 for vert) to make sure it isn't this. For example, 2008 is not a mustang order for my dealer. Hope this helps.

 

Get unaddicted to ERL..... she goes crazy during build/ship times -- get the info from Knitzi over at blueovalforums.

"As of 10/12, your car has been shipped via rail car with ETA week of 10/13" -- BS!!! it is now 10/17 and I found out today my car is in Kentucky in a mixing yard (I M in STL MO)....

Man... so much crap to go through (9 months now....)

Well this is kind of hard for me but.....sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and I have an overwhelming urge to call the ERL. Everyone tells me that one day we will be able to work out our differences, so I keep hope in that. However, everytime I call her it's like she doesn't want to talk to me. She never even lets me get a word in and tells me I have to keep waiting for her, to wait until she is ready to fit me in to her busy schedule. stang 9325 your ordered yours back in june, and you havent been serialized yet? sounds like you need a better dealer. I just ordered mine two weeks ago and it got serialized on the 20th. are you ordering from a small dealer or no allocation? If so you may call around and see if you can find one with better numbers, but I guess if youve waited this long , whats a little longer. good luck tho, was just surprised to see you ordered in june, and still havent been serialized.

just called erl back and now scheduled be built week of 11/7 as of 10/20.

 

Yeah, I ordered back in June before I left on my Europe trip. I am obviously in a hurry to get my car and knew it would take a while considering I live in the north, but I have purchased several cars from my salesman and wouldn't do it any other way. He has always been honest and has earned my business as long as I am buying a Ford. Sure it would be nice to have the car sooner but I would rather give him the sale and wait longer then buy from someone I don't know. I can't wait though!

 

I ordered my vista GT vert in august and just picked her up on 10/20. It's definately woth the wait, but you might want to find out your priority number. If you know the salesman that well, maybe he can get your priority bumped to 10 if he talks to the new car manager.

 

My priority number is already 10. Unfortunately there were quite a few orders in front of mine when I ordered. Two carry overs from 05 and five from this year. This dealer gets 2 to 3 GT's per month and there is only 2 orders left in front of mine so I'm thinking I'll be getting a nice Christmas present this year (appx ETA). I knew I wouldn't get it in time for summer anyways, so my first drive of the new car will be from the dealer to the garage for hibernation.
