Advice: Patching KDW's After Nail

Hi all,

I have BFG KDW 255 tires and just got a nail in the front driver's side tire. The tire says "Do not patch" but I can't believe you can't patch the tire. I figure it has more to do with the fact that you can't hit top speed but the tire should be fine for under 200km/hr (~125mph) and hard cornering should it not?

Thanks,
Danny

I have 255 40 19's on mine and I seem to get nails frequently. I always have my tire shop pull the tire from the rim and put a patch on the inside and I've never had any problems. I don't really see how you could have a problem , maybe they meant a plug in the hole and not a patch on the inside ...

I just got it pluged and patched from the inside. I guess it should be fine.

But I was just curious how much your tire rating drops...
