Accelerator pedal and carpet - 07 GT

I looked closely at my throttle pedal on the 07 Mustang GT and noticed I can't go WOT because the lower part of the pedal clips into the carpet. If I push hard enough, I can compress the carpet enough to go wide open.

Does anyone else notice this problem? I can't get a clean "click" from the plastic throttle arm hitting the plastic throttle assembly when going WOT. I have to push it a little harder to compress the carpet. It doesn't seem like the carpet would hold the throttle pedal either, its just too thick. I am using the OEM/Dealer-installed all-weather mats which suck the big one. Weathertech didn't have the digi liner at the time, but I don't feel like spending $100+ on floor mats.

I suppose I am lucky and do not have throttle lag. That's the most annoying part of DBW throttle systems.

Um... I'm not sure, but if you recalibrate, then the lowest point is the WOT location, is it not? It's not mechanical in these things anymore...

Of course, the calibration can get messed up over time, so you have to redo it, I suppose.
