How long did it take before it started raining from the time you got nervous and started wondering if it was going to rain? 1 min? 5 mins? 10 mins?

DUDE, I would have pulled over at the FIRST sign of rain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You deserve it!
Hmmm. Guess you have never lived in Texas huh? Around here it will start raining with a vengence, and stop just as suddenly. No warning. It's like the clouds just open up.

We don't have a kitty, but I am sure you are right about that. I only used that pic as my avatar since the upgrade to this software wont allow me to post my animated gif avatar I had prior to the "upgrade".

hehe. Unlike Florida, we here in (most of) Texas are in the middle of a drought for quite some time now. Besides, we have 2 other vehicles to get around in and the Stang is always in the garage. I can tell it was not rained on before delivery cuz it was nice and clean when they took it off the truck.

^^^^^^^^Man your mustang has frostbite

You should have just floored it when it started raining. That way the force of air going over the car would have kept the rain from touching the interior. LOL Would have been kind of dangerous though and would have sucked when you had to slow down.

Which is so slow they might as well have made you stop.

But I have found that if you can get it started it will let it keep going up to about 5MPH. But don't go over 5 or you'll have to go under 1.8 again.
I was stopped at a light the other day with clouds looming so I went to put the top up. Wouldn't go. Pulled the handbrake, it went.

Now, I don't know if I'm flipping delusional or if there's even a sensor in the computer that watches the handbrake (an '06), but the top would not go until I pulled that handle. Other times it has no problem. My foot was on the pedal the whole time.

No idea...

I think there's actually a sensor that watches the weather, and if you really really need to get the top up in a hurry, then it gives you a hard way to go.
