2006 GT Performance White !!!

Hi Everyone, this is my first "official" post since taking delivery of "Gina" on June 29, 2006. I was originally going to buy a Black GT and add White Shelby Stripes but I changed my mind at the last minute and decided I liked White better. I love the contrast of the black stripes and black bullitts on the white body. No other mods (except tint which the dealer had already installed). Let me know what you think. Thanks to all the people on this site that have helped me make my decision on colour and stripes..... Here are some pics of "Gina" ... I think it looks very RETRO !!!!

It is amazing how so little can do so much, when the colors contrast as they do with "Gina"!

I like it.. The black bullits with black ralley stripes with a white back drop says your, your own man and make your own decisions.. Much like myself.. Your a trendsetter, and not a follower.. You make your own decisions and follow through..

Its a pleasure to meet ya!! Welcome to TMS, and I look forward to the write-up of the power-adder that I know will find its way under the hood some day..

With Gina lookin as good as she does, she's gonna get revved at all over town.. LOL!! Pun intended!

Thanks for the comments MSP .... I forgot to mention that the stripes and black bullitts are done in Flat Black to match the mirrors, front grille, etc. I have been reading posts on this site for over a year now and I have never seen more Mustang Info in one place. TMS is AWESOME !!!! .... I'm so excited about my post to this Thread. Never thought I'd actually see a Mustang in my driveway, but my dream came true. Take Care ..... Brian ..

It was the flat black ralley stripes which has seperated you from the crowd! After my hood is done, I was going to do the same thing in regards to the flat black ralley stripes.. The same distance apart as yours, or similar..

I hope you dont mind if I steal your idea.. I mean I cant say it was mine now, you posted the pics first... LOL!!

Awsome!!

Hey MSP .... I'd be honoured if you put flat black stripes on your GT !!! ... I'm sure I'm not the first person on here to use flat black. I wanted my GT to stand out without looking to "done up" if you know what I mean. And the white really gets noticed. Plus easier to keep clean than black I assume. By the way .... your Vortec Supercharger looks Awesome poking outta your hood !!!! .... very very cool !!!! .... (I hope I'm right and it's not a Turbo ... hard for me to tell the difference from your pic) .... thx for the replies ... you made my day !! ... Brian

FYI ... my stripes are 10.5" Wide with a 1.5" Gap. The stripe guy said the 1.5" Gap makes it very easy to ensure a very straight line between the stripes as he used 2 pieces of std 3/4" masking tape to mark the gap. They did a great job on the stripes. Although I must say that 3M flat black or matt black as they may call it is very sensitive to water spots and anything that may get on it while you're driving. I try to dry the stripes first right after washing it. Seems to work ....

I am getting a 5inch COWL glassed into my hood soon.. It will cover the Vortech blower.. I changed the orientation of the setup to make a functional COWL induction system.. Thanks for the comments..

In regards to the stripes, thanks for giving me the measurements.. My COWL has a very pronouced center line, which will greatly enhance the stock hoods center line.. I must have the stripes close together like yours, so that they remain on top of the COWL, and jump over the winshield onto the roof, then down the back.. The space between yours is perfect. I will use your measurements as my guide in the very near future.. Yours are set perfect so i can run the stripe up the front bumper and onto the cowl, over the roof and down the back, in flat black..

I was also going to have my spoiler painted flat black.. I think your car would look insane with a flatblack spoiler as well....

This way, I dont have to stripe the spoiler only the trunk lid.. Thoughts?

Brian,

Your status is a function of how many posts you have, once you keep posting you'll become a GT member, and so on.... if you complain, the moderators will come up with something you won't like

Whereabouts from the GTA are you from? There are a handful of us in the west end.

Congrats on the Mustang... did you get the stripe kit done at Summit? I know they are doing quite a few of them

MN ... I think a flat black spoiler would look very cool on Gina .... It would look great on blue as well ... give it that subtle but mean look !! .. thats quite a unique set up you have under the hood (or should I say out of the hood !! ... you have a very mean lookin car ... got any pics of the whole car showing the hood too ??

Hey Galaxie .... thx for the V6 / GT info ... I understand now .. lol ... I'll just keep posting and see what happens ... I'm in the west end of Toronto near the Mississauga border. And yes, bought the car at Summit and they called in 3Mtrimline to do the stripes. I had a chat with the young guy they sent over to do the stripes and let him know how fussy I was about the stripes ... he was very cool about it and he did an Awesome job !! .. Summit also sent my Bullitts out to be painted flat black .... I eventually want to get 18" wheels and new tires but the black bullitts look great to IMO .... looking forward to meeting some Mustang drivers soon .... nice to meet you ... Brian
