2007 v6 to 5.0 engine swap

First off i dont want to hear, buy a new one.
Second im most likely getting a doner car to do the swap such as the engine.

But just wondering if its possible, what would i need to change and what other parts and components i would need. Im just curious to see what needs to be done so wjen i get the doner i can take the parts i need out of it.

I'm interested to see this build. Of course it's possible. Anything is with enough money.

It sounds like you're just getting started on the planning. You might check out the FRPP site (https://fordperformanceracingparts.c...KeyField=25177) and the links in the info section. And if you Google around, it wouldn't surprise me if this has been done and documented before.

Everything including dash board and stuff. It is my understanding that our cars are not compatible with the 5.0 computer so in order to have everything work you have to change everything out. I know I've seen a couple complete interior swaps but they are pretty intricate as far as making everything fit. If you are a good fabricator you ought to be able to make it work. If it is just a track car then you don't need any of that stuff to work.

I'm not sure about all of the suspension. I'm assuming that it is pretty similar but you would have to go from your v6 stuff to at least gt v8 stuff, rear end and transmission. Front suspension would have to be beefed up for the extra weight up front.

I'm not going to say just get a 5.0, BUT, why not just build a 3 valve and go with it? You know that everything fits and works. Why are you so set on a 5.0? I'm assuming you are talking Coyote motor not an older 5.0 push rod motor, right.

If you wanna go bigger motor why not the 5.4 out of a gt500? A much easier swap.

I would really like to see a 2007 Pony Package with a 5.0.

Looking forward to reading the comments to this thread.

Well, there are 2 ways: control pack (easiest) or swap all modules and harnesses as well as a lot of other stuff (like fuel tank, dash, seats, lights)
I vote for control pack, btw. There is a guy on SVTP doing the same thing.
