Just out of curiosity...

Is it possible to replace the starter system with a Fusion one? That is if they are compatible, it is probably cost prohibitive but might be an option. I would be interested as I plan on keeping my car until it or I break down.

The Fusion Keys have Just Recently Released and I have Some Coming. Your Dealer has to Call them in Through ROTUNDA Tool Supplies.

My brother has a key like the Fusion's for his Jeep Grand Cherokee. I personally hate it, it's friggin huge. Try clamping one of those things to a key ring and you're in for a day's work.

Yeah count me in.... I would like to get one of those if they work.

I like Ford for making the Mustang but I hate them for getting us stuck with a ugly key like that..... I would have paid extra $100 in the retail price if they were to include a better looking key, they should have made something nice for the new models, like a key with a little pony on it or something.

Anyhow I think they will make a bunch of money if they are to redisign the key, since everyone will buy one.

Edit: ( Just an Idea! )

Can we send a petition to Ford asking for a better key?

Well, since the fob buttons will not work on the mustang, It's kinda worthless to buy one. The actuall key itself as a blank is identical. So much for wasting $100 to make my key look better....

Is it confirmed that the Fusion key will not work on the Mustangs? Here is a photo for reference.

It FITS, but the car will not acnowledge the fob, so its kinda pointless. The key probably costs more then a CDC chin spoiler or chrome tailight bezels/silverhorse tail panel/and mirror caps together, so there's much better ways to spend money.

It looks like the buttons have the same configuration/layout. Someone should open one of the fusion keys up to see if the fobs internals could be swapped with the fusion key.

if i was in the US i would have bought the key and i would have first test if i can swap the internals,, if so i would proceed and cut the key, if the key fob can't be swaped i would then just sell it on ebay uncut
