UPDATE!
I just got a Call from RONTUNDA KEYS. There is an Issue with the Keys. They can not supply stock orders for keys at this time. The Only way they will sell me a key is to Have a New Car with lost keys. I have no eta on when they will release. Also they still do not know if there is an alternate key Part number. When we do recieve a FUSION on the Lot I will check if they are Physically Compatable with a Stang. Welcome to my world.

It's Typical the more hype FORD puts on something the harder it is to get. They Come up with a Part I can sell like icewater in the sahara and I can not get it.

What's that on your rabbit's head?

It's a pancake. i'll try and find the original image that was floating around...
anyways, that's a total bummer. is it the securilock antitheft that doesn't work, or the keyless entry??

Only tried the keyless entry, But looking at the key, it does not have any stamp on the key blade,(the Mustang has an "S" on it) so I would deduce that it would not function either.

Hmmm interesting. I still might be able to make the keyless entry work, by swapping out the "guts" from my fob and putting it into the fob from the fusion...i've seen it done before with other applications - just need to make sure the relative sizes are the same.
as for the securilock - the thing is, in the manual it seems to suggest that you can use the older style key with the fusion as well, so i would hope it's backwards compatible. if you wouldn't mind, can you see if you can program the key to just turn the ignition on?
thanks

Here is the big surprise, Ford in their infinite wisdom uses keys that look the same but depending on application actually use different protocols, so they are not interchangeable.
I would have to cut a key to see if I could program it to the vehicle and since they are quite expensive and currently made of unobtanium, I can't answer that question.

I was actually scrolling thru the smilies looking for a sad one when I saw the bunny. I've also seen the original picture, I just can't believe someone made a smilie if it-! ROFL
It's so ridiculous I love it...... take my mind off the stupid keyfob :-p

currently made of unobtanium,
My father-in-law is a jeweler. I tried to get him to make something out of that for my wife, so far he hasn't delivered.
