If this ends up working count me in for two keys. Having all my controls on the key is something I miss from my Accord.

Thanks for checking! If it's not too high, I'm getting one, maybe two, maybe three...

I don't know if this is such a hot deal excepting the functionality of course. I barely have enough room for my knee next to the stock issue key as it is now  .

The 2006 owners manual still shows the old key fob, so if ford does offer them up, it will most definitely be an accessory.

The biggest question in my eyes is whether or not the bigger key will fit in the ignition. My focus has a black plastic shroud that surrounds the key, and a larger key will not fit in that opening.

I'm the same way, and I think that's why this looks so promising. The only complaint I have with my 05 is the placement of the ignition. I've never seen it that low before. My knee CONSTANTLY bumps the fob. I keep my keys on a detatchable ring so as not to knock them with my knee and to keep the weight off of the ignition. I would DEFINITELY get one of these (as long as it's not too pricey). I could then loose the fob and have some extra room for my knee.

Keep us posted Kevin!

The sad thing is the Toyota Pries (sp? The hybrid thing) has that exact same king of transponder+start but tech. And we get stuck with a seperate key fob.

Heck, I had a Renaue (sp again... Sigh.) R19 way back in 1991 that had an integrated remote/key.

The exact reason why I'm interested in this.

Still no word? WOW!

Here's to hoping it works, and it's not too expensive. I get the sensation that price will keep many folks away.

What do you you estimate, $50? $100?? I am guessing it will be between $50-$100 for one.

A fob brand new is $80, I think. Just the current key with transponder code is $100 I think... so...add the two together...?
