2005 stang in barrie ontario

a few comments on my end.
Even without the IUP, the dash is still very nice, not ugly at all
when I sat behind the wheel, it was like I was stunned, I can't actually wait to get my own (I might order in the two weeks or so)
the concept wheels are much more stunning in person, I will get them now, no more considering the bullits.
oh yeah, and it was cool to meet up with dan and boomer, that way I was not the only one drooling.
Props to Dan on the sales pitch to get us some seat time in the car, and a special thanks to the guys at the Ford tent at Georgian College for opening up the car to us.

Pete and Steve summed it up pretty well. The car never gets old. This is the third time I've seen it in person, and every time I say it looks way better than in pics.
Thanks to Christian P. and the boys from Georgian College for the seat time and putting on a such a great show. Gotta give them lots of props.
I'm so glad that I convinced the boys to open her up. This is the first time I've ever sat in the 05. Here are my impressions:
- wow, are the seats comfortable....better than any stang I've sat in.
- bolstering isn't up to 03 Cobra level, but you felt it ..... fine IMO
- mirrors were great, lots of glass for the size
- fit and finish on the interior was amazing. Opened the storage boxes etc. and everything felt tight
- I was most impressed with the amount of room inside. No more squeezing in for me (6'2" 195lbs). Almost four fingers of headroom which is unheard of for me. Usually 1-2 max.
- The shifter is short and has a very short throw. Perfect distance from you. You can grab the shifter with your elbow on the storage box/armrest.
- Deep dish gauges looked sweet.
- You sit low but getting in and out was easy (compared to my Probe GT which is on the asphalt and you have to be a gymnist to get into)
I have to admit that it was bad enough falling head over heals for the exterior, but the interior blew me away and this one didn't even have the IUP. I'm absolutely dying to get this car.
Dan
P.S. Believe it or not, Steve (who I already met) and Pete are actually nice guys regardless of how they come across on here. LOL.

My dad, who also came (....he hadn't seen the 05 and hs been hearing about it 24/7....) and I headed back home as we had to meet up with family friends in the afternoon.
Pete/Steve, the T.O. Autoshow is another good time to meet, if not before then.....

For those who have sat in it....
Did the steering wheel block view of part of the gauges?? Someone posted this picture and I'm a little worried about part of the speedo/tach not being seen. If this is the case, that is just unacceptable in a modern car.
Hopefully, it's just the angle the picture was taken.

Should have teamed up and suplexed me on the hood of the 05 while you had a chance. Next time, I'm going to assign you two to do 05 underbody reconnaissance by force.
