2005 Pricing

lol. thanks man...you're a saint!
that makes me a feel a little better. being semi, sort-of, not quite confirmed is better than just pure speculation and estimation. althogh someone picked up a brouchure that was droped at one of the invitation drives that gave similar prices. at least we know that little flyer was pretty correct.

I vote that this thread be locked. Everytime I look at the forum topics, I see- "2005 Pricing", and my heart skips a beat. And then I'm like, oh... it's just the room where people are complaining about not having prices yet. The name of this room should have been- "People who want to whine about not having prices out yet". I mean come on. Prices will come. We all know the base V6 is going to be right at or below $20k, and the base GT will be right at or below $25k. As far as options, just look at the options from 2004, and add 2-3%. I guarnatee you will be able to come within $500 of what your car will be. Ford is going to hold out on announcing prices as long as they can. Because they don't want to hurt sales of the 2004 stangs. My guess is the end of this month- right on or close to September 27th. And no amount of whining or complaining is going to make it come any sooner. I vote to lock this thread and any others like it until someone actually has official prices.

I know the prices (it's nice having people in Ford :P). I can't reveal them or they could get in trouble but all I can say is they are decently priced.

V6 is 19,XXX and GT is 24,XXX. Of course those prices are bare bones. If someone dare changes them on me I'm going to kill them!

KaptainGT,
is it safe to assume that the invoice is about $17,XXX for the base V6, and about $22,XXX for the GT(bare bones of course)?
Any information on pricing is greatly appreciated :worship:
but dont say anything that would get you in trouble of course

Feel much better now that I know from a source who knows someone at Ford, who was told but can't reveal who, that the V-6 will be $19,XXX and the GT will be $25,XXX bare bones I feel elated

I spoke to a dealer today and he told me that they will start taking orders somtime next week, when the pricing is out.
He sounded like he had an idea of what he was talking about as he did mention the Oct dates for getting the cars in lots (most of the dealers I spoke to ddidn't know this)
Anybody else hear of anything??

There will be rebates on the new Mustang after all the early orders have been shipped and production exceeds sales so there are lots of them sitting on dealer lots.
Look at t this way. Ford is going to attempt to build 44,000 - 05 Stangs between Sept 7 and Dec 31, 2004. But reportedly Ford already has orders for over 50,000, 2005 Stangs. That means that if Ford didn't get another new order between today and January 31, 2005, production will catch up with sales.
If I was a betting man, I wouldn't place any money on having any rebates before July 2005 - when it comes time to clear out any remaining 05's and production of the 06s has started.

But is Ford going to discount the 05's any? Are they going to come off of the sticker any?

Rebates are another story. And as I said before, you are going to have a long wait begore you see rebates on the '05 Stang.
