V6 is 19,XXX and GT is 24,XXX. Of course those prices are bare bones. If someone dare changes them on me I'm going to kill them!

lol. thanks man...you're a saint!

that makes me a feel a little better. being semi, sort-of, not quite confirmed is better than just pure speculation and estimation. althogh someone picked up a brouchure that was droped at one of the invitation drives that gave similar prices. at least we know that little flyer was pretty correct.

So how much are the side airbags on the 2004? Oh that's right, not an option, at least not on the GT. Does it really hurt to have these threads? While I agree that ti's probably pretty easy to come within 500 bucks, the point of the thread is that many people believe that we shouldn't need to come within 500 bucks. We should already know. Personally, I just want to know for the heck of it, as I'm not paying for one till Feb. But for all those who have already placed a deposit and made their order, I can understand the frustration of going this long and not knowing the exact costs. If you don't like the threads, don't read them. I'm sure you will be fully aware when official pricing is released .

i think this is as good as we can get. we deffinatly don't want anyone to get in trouble. i wanna know, but i think i can hold out.

is it safe to assume that the invoice is about $17,XXX for the base V6, and about $22,XXX for the GT(bare bones of course)?

Any information on pricing is greatly appreciated :worship:

B) So woooow. Ford posted several months ago and a couple of magazine articles also revealed that the V6 was targeted for under $20,000 and the GT under $25,000.
Feel much better now that I know from a source who knows someone at Ford, who was told but can't reveal who, that the V-6 will be $19,XXX and the GT will be $25,XXX bare bones I feel elated

I spoke to a dealer today and he told me that they will start taking orders somtime next week, when the pricing is out.
He sounded like he had an idea of what he was talking about as he did mention the Oct dates for getting the cars in lots (most of the dealers I spoke to ddidn't know this)
Anybody else hear of anything??

Yes I know.

There will be rebates on the new Mustang after all the early orders have been shipped and production exceeds sales so there are lots of them sitting on dealer lots.

Look at t this way. Ford is going to attempt to build 44,000 - 05 Stangs between Sept 7 and Dec 31, 2004. But reportedly Ford already has orders for over 50,000, 2005 Stangs. That means that if Ford didn't get another new order between today and January 31, 2005, production will catch up with sales.

If I was a betting man, I wouldn't place any money on having any rebates before July 2005 - when it comes time to clear out any remaining 05's and production of the 06s has started.

It is totally up to the individual dealer whether they will give you a discount or not. Ford cannot tell any dealer how much they have to sell a car for.

Rebates are another story. And as I said before, you are going to have a long wait begore you see rebates on the '05 Stang.
