Amy can you guesstimate how many 05s were still back there? 5,000? 10,000?

Not sure if I can or not... I'd say at the very least 5000... but I think there's more. There's a few holding lots and the one section I was looking at (not pictured) looks to be where they drive them out of the plant.. they had them in this circle drive near the employee lot in the buidling we were in where they are being built.

I'd say atleast 5 football fields of 05's.

Thanks for checking the lots for us Amy ! Makes one wonder if they really are shipping, or holding them back. I sure hope they are shipping, we are all counting on it. B)

Amy, thats a great idea ! You could stroll around the AAI campus with the puppy, snapping pictures to your hearts content. There must be a forum member who lives near you that has a dog.

LOL well maybe if you'd take your helmet off occasionally you wouldn't get so many.

I'm from florida and I'm in Detroit right now visiting my fiancee's family. I usually sign on as ponystile but I couldn't get on for some reason. Today we drove down to Flatrock to see the mustangs and it was almost a religious experience. We just pulled up to the fence in the parking lot next to the stangs and got out and started looking. The stangs by the fence had "OK TO SHIP" round sticker on the front seats. We stayed for 20 minutes and just looked at all the stangs...no problem from any security or anybody. I took pictures but not with a digital camera....the digital was broken during my fiancee's drunken stuper at her class reunion. I saw black paint on some of the red stangs, I guess showing flaws. I saw one stang where they took the front bumper and grill off for some reason. There were so MANY stangs....a field of dreams. One of my fiancee's cousins works for ford and he said stangs should start showing up in showrooms tomorrow. They Ford dealer down the street said he had no idea when stangs should show up because they were being held up because of some trim piece. He showed me a stack of orders on "a plan". These cars are a work of art....simply stunning. I just had to see one before I ordered. I drove to Jax florida to see one at a auto show but they only had the concept. Do you think I should order or wait for them to be on the lots now? :worship:

ponystile2, thanks for the update, and the news. Isn't AAI a neat place ? We were there over the summer, and I was also stunned when I saw the Mustangs, you are correct that they are a work of art. About your question, it really depends on how quickly you need a car. If sooner, then start scouring the lots, if not you could place an order and get exactly what you want. I think you could even place an order while looking on the lots, most dealers will refund your deposit if you don't take delivery on the ordered car. You also might be in an excellent position to get an X plan, if your fiance's cousin can use their friends & family plan. That would be awesome - eh ? Good luck ! B)
