2005 Mustang Rims
#41
I personally like the rims on the V6 (which I'll be getting) and have no intention on changing the stock rims. I do agree with Enfynet on putting in Infiniti speakers and an upgraded deck aftermarket.
Likely the first thing I do when I get the car is upgrade the stereo

Cameron, I know I'm putting Infinity in the cabin, but I haven't decided on the subwoofer setup yet. I was going to leave that decision up to my friend who volounteered and is getting as excited about putting in the stereo as I am about owning the car.
As for rims, picturing 19s on this car, and dropping it 1"... I think I'd stare at it more than I drove it.

I don't plan on selling anything I modify with the car... Never know when you might need something.
So you want 10" in the front and nearly 12" in the back? that's pretty crazy... You plan on doing a lot of road course racing?
I was thinking 235 front and 275 rear... But so far the wheels I like don't come any larger than 18s, so we'll see.

If I were going to get the GT I would get the retro looking Bullitt rims over the upgrade rims. If you want really retro looking rims I like the V6 rims with the chrome spinners. They look a little like Eleanor's rims(Gone in sixty seconds). I just wish they were 17" but beggers can't be choosers I know a few GT owners really like the V6 wheels.

We plan on Aftermarket wheels and tires 18X9 or plus, so the Bullitt wheel will do out of the gate. I still can not warmup to the Machined Wheel, it just does not look like a Mustang. Maybee in time it will. Plus to many problems with polished wheels, I want Chrome.

Don't know what the Mustangs are like around your town, but here 315s are common for the rear and I was being conservative with 295s! It might take a while for manufacturers to make 19s with the right fitments, but I have a feeling I will end up going with a Saleen or Roush wheel.

hate those stock rims (and BULLITTs belong on the BULLITT)...sorry but everything on this new car is not perfect (example: no ductail!)
as was mentioned earlier..they should have made the V6 spinner rims the stock GT rim in 18"
how could FORD spend soooooo much time on the body only to screw up the spoiler and rims??? Don't get me wrong I am still excited about our new girl, but those horse shoes have gotta go. A lot of buyers are going to be selling off their stock rims, bet on it. Tirerack is going to have a lot of sales.

I hate the V6 'spinners'
they just don't look right

Legend Lime with the bullitt rims for me. I think they look much better than the optional. IMO
