Looks like Canada will have only one 18" wheel option (64E)...
which won't be available in Aug. probably not till Jan 06.

Now i have to order my ride in Feb to get it for Apr. (not worth getting it in the middle of winter)

I got this info from the 2006 Canada Order Guide at SUmmit Ford in Ontario.
They're the biggest Dealer here. I checked antother local dealer, but they did not have the updated info to confirm.

Anyone else find this to be true at other dealers?

Trust me, it is worth getting your car in the middle of the winter. Mine arrived in November and I have loved every minute of it since.

18" wheels are available for August production.
It is not free availability. It is limited to about 50% of orders.
I was allowed the 18" wheels on our one GT for August, but our highest priority sold order didn't want them, so we passed on them.

You are best to order your '06 now and request delivery in April.
Who knows what will happen with allocation, but some customers who ordered in February this year are just being built now, especially convertibles.
And generally, March '05 orders have to be carried over to '06 orders, that will probably be built in September and October.

So get the order in now, especially if you want 18" wheels. If you wait till the new year, you will probably not have it for the spring.

Steve, what if we want to order the 18's through parts? Will there be any problems?

The Microcat has not been updated for 2006 Mustang parts listings, so it is not available yet. The listings should be updated within a few weeks.

We will see at that point if they will allow general parts system availability, or if they initially divert all production to the plant.
