Ordered my 2006 V6 today with the much rumored Pony Package. I saw the V6 options for 06. Ordered from the military car sales folks.

It was 115 here today in the shade (Qatar).

Dave - great news! What color combo are you getting? Tranny? Other options???

Best wishes to you there in the brutal heat of the middle east - and thank you for your service to the country.

I could use some cold and rainy right now. It was 80 degrees at 7 this morning with a dew point of about 70. Got into the 90's along with being very humid.

OK, here goes. Redfire with Light Graphite cloth interior. The Pony Package includes: 17 inch painted alum wheels with bright rims (whatever that is), pony badging on the front quarter panels, some other interior trinkets, brushed alum pony front carpets, fog lamps, special grille with pony (I think enclosed in a "corral"), ABS with traction control, new pony stripes along the rocker panels, and finally, spoiler. I think that is it.

The 06 V6 comes in three trims: standard, with steel wheels, Deluxe and Premium. If you want the 17 inch wheels, you must order the Pony Package. This listed at 1495.00 and I paid 1195.00 for it.

There was no option for 18 in wheels.

The hot weather is nice because it is dry. Kind of like Vegas.

Thanks for the info.

It's good to know that the Pony package is a $1,495.00 option.

IMO it's not a bad price for the option. As I had priced the options from the 05 for the Ext Apperance package $295.00
Upgraded rims $150.00
Traction/ABS $775.00
That was $1,200.00

$295.00 difference is not bad at all for all the other you get with the package.

It's going to kill me having to waite until March to order my car.

The car sounds great! I like the Redfire more every time that I see it. The Pony package is a great deal, too.

Congratulations!!

P.S. From your username and geographic location, it sounds like you're doing some work keeping us safe at home. If that's the case, THANKS!

That sounds great, Dave. Congratulations on taking the plunge!

I like the sounds of that color combination. And those options make your 'Stang a tricked out pony! I'm glad they're offering new trim packages for the V6. The first '05 I drove was a Windveil Blue V6. Sweet ride.

When are you coming back to the states? What is your car's ETA? I hope you share some pix of your new ride when you can. Sounds like a beauty. Travel safely.

Well, most of the options are not really new. I admit, I would like to know what the grille, fog lamps, wheels look like. But I took it on faith. Reading these boards gave me a pretty good idea of what those items will look like.

Will keep everybody posted.

Congrats on the order, man!

My order was supposed to go through yesterday as well ('06 GT). *crosses fingers*

BTW, we're looking at a high of 106 today in Baghdad (beats the 120+ when I arrived last summer). Woo hoo!

On the Redfire. It looks amazing in person. You'll love it.

For your service to our country.

You must have been there for awhile if you like the heat. I've experienced 115 in the shade (Palm Springs in July) and it sure takes some getting used to!

Hoping they are bullitts. You are right, that is what I was thinking. Works for me!
