I believe May 16th is when the order banks open up. But you should be able to place an order with your dealership for the 06 at anytime. It is up to the dealership if they want to take it or not.

As far as "cost to order" I'm guessing your refering to the deposit. SOme dealerships have none but most range from $50 to $1000. My dealership said they didn't need a deposite because they knew they could turn it fast. If they couldn't they would have requested a check for $500 (but not cash it, keep it in a file until the purchase, or deposit it upon cancellation of order).

So you really need to choose a dealership and pick their brains about your two questions as it's dealership-to-dealership.

I really recommend Shawnee Mission Ford. It has taken a long time to get my car, but they have always been up-front and honest with me. Unfortunately, they are asking $29,995 for a car with almost 2000 miles on it. That is $500 less than the brand new premium GT vert I ordered from them. Anyway, here is the link....

Edit: I guess you already found it.
