i'll be saving for a V6 or maybe a slim chance of a GT. if its a Boss, I would save up my future teacher salary for 3 years to get it if i have to!

a mach, not so much. just the thought of owning a Boss gets me excited!!!

I hope not, I think the GTR looks too far out with that wing in the back!

 

I just want a retro mach with a ducktail, shaker, stripes, and a big 5.4L engine! although the 5.0 cammer from the GTR wouldn't be bad!

 

I'm holding out to see if they produce a Mach and stashing money away for the down payment. The 02 will be paid off in about a year and a half, so I'm hoping a Mach will be an 07 car.

My Mach wish list.

1. GTR nose
2. Shaker
3. 375 hp (5.4 or 4.6 SOHC 3v, Ford needs to explore the 3v thing and see how far they can take it. let the cobra have a 4v) 5 spd with some deeper gears.
4. 18x9 rims with 265 to 275 tires and lower the car.
5. Duck tail
6. trash that ergonomic shifter handle and go with a nice ball (either white or aluminum), I'm not big on T-handles myself.
7. V6 grille (move the driving lights down low) and dump the running horse and corral.
8. A stripe package (no shelby knock off please) and how bout some engine badges or the displacement called out in the stripes (personally I would like to see it in CID but I think the second coming of christ will happen sooner)
9. Honeycomb inserts between the tail ights

I wonder how woodgrain would look in there? Replace the UIP brushed aluminum with wood??????

I've got such a clear picture in my head I'm sure I will be disappointed.

 

I was originally going to purchase a GT now but not knowing what LE's are coming and the 06 GT having more base horsepower I am going to wait and see what 06 has to offer.

 

Sorry, dude, but that's just tacky. Too many '68-'70 design cues aren't necessarily a good thing. And you just know if wouldn't be real wood...which would look even worse.

 

I reserve judgement till I can actually see it? It all depends I suppose on how the various elements tie together, wonder if somebody has done a contact paper chop of the dash

 

Fell in love with the 05 and that is the way I am going but.... if this IUP issue is not resolved as suspected with Ford building them in February, may change my mind. If there is a 06 SE and it turns out to be the Mach I...would guess a base of $30K. Put me in the orange one please!

 

Looks like a lot of people out there are waiting for ford to come out with a Mach 1!

I tell ya, My dream has always been the 69 Mach 1. But when the 05 came out I think that I have more for this car and it made me forget about the 69.

 

I am the same way - well, I guess I did not forget about it, but it made me look the other way...
