Cobra III? No wait. Lesse... Mustang II, then Fox, then SN95, then S197...

Cobra V. Yeah, that'd be fun. All them decals, and a standard 3 valver.

As to the poll...

If I ever get to where I'm buying one (someday!) and the Mach1 is available, then yeah. But I'm not gonna wait for it either. If it's not here and I'm ready to get the new 'Stang in GT, then it's GT for me.

So I can't vote, 'cause my choice isn't really there, now, is it?

/misses his '78 V6 Orange Bomb. :snuffle:

Depending on the power/looks, the 03 may have to go if there is an 06 Mach 1.

I already have a GT but if something comes out in the next year or 2 that is really special, who knows. I can't say that I won't buy one until I see it. (didn't vote here).

I was planning on ordering a GT in the spring, but that may hinge on what the Mach looks like.

I hear there are some test mules running around Detroit, but I have not seen any spy photos yet.

I have to wonder what the price wil be...

I'm actually holding out a bit to see if they come out with something more along the spirit of the Boss 302, i.e., a well balanced road racer. I don't have much interest in little 1/4 spurts but rather, would like something I could take out for along afternoon blast through hill and dale. Perhaps an uprated 4V 4.6, tight six spd MTX, big brakes, uprated IRS suspension and some better seats, ahhhhh to dream.

I will need a car in the next 12 months. I'm waiting until spring to make a decision. If a Mach is coming out for 2006, we will probably know it by the start of Summer. Then I'll know if I want to wait or not.

If a Mach comes out that is half as slick as the 2003-2004 Mach, I'll probably wait for it. Especially if the rumors of a ~370hp 5.4L motor are true...

Not necessarily a Boss 302 per se, i.e., one using the "Cammer" 5.0, but perhaps one using a tuned version of the 4V DOHC 4.6 and a smattering of Cobra suspension and brake bits for chassis dynamics. I think such a critter would make for an ideal stable-mate to the more drag strip oriented Mach I and come in well below the uber-Stang Cobra pricewise.
