Shinoda has his own aftermarket company to build the boss, they should put a 5.0 in the 05, add classic boss 302 stripes, maybe a shaker. do some suspension upgrades and there's your boss 302. now if ford came back out with the 429!

WOW! 32% are waiting for the Mach 1! If ford builds 200,000 mustangs in 06 then 64,000 Mach 1's (32%)

Not sure, the 04 cost around 27K I think. Probably 30K. Any guesses?

Wanna wait to at least see what the Mach 1 and Cobra are gonna look like before diving into a GT.

Mach 1 could be sweet. But I'm really not big on blacked out hoods and side stripes. Too much 60s ruins the car. I'd like my Mach 1 to be more subtle visually...just enough to separate it from the GT. Concept scoops (or decent Shaker)...badging...attractive 18" rims and wider tires...and for god's sake, Ford, don't delete the fog lights - leave 'em be.

It'll also depend on whether I can get the color I want in a Mach 1. If there's no Redfire or if the red interior isn't offered, then I don't want it.

Price will depend largely on which engine it gets, but I would expect the Mach 1 to be about $3-5K more than the GT.

I like the black-out hood, decals and stripes on the Mach 1. The stang can never get too retro in my book. I want a shaker, ducktail, honeycomb panel on the back, and some nice Retro mach 1 seats with the silver stripe!!!

Price would be a big factor for me. I would be willing to maybe pay 3500 more for one, but if its 5k more I couldnt do it.

I've been talking about getting a Cobra, but if there is an '06 Mach, I'm buying it.

I'm just down to colors....I really want either Black or Sonic Blue....my wife wants Mineral Grey....but I want to check out the Titanium....

Decisions, decisions....lol

The mustang II allowed the mustang to survive the gas crunch of the 70s. Most of the other muscle cars didn't becasue they didn't change with the times.

Really always wanted the Mach I from the beginning. The 05 GT just doesn,t light me up. The Cobra would be overkill but a Mach I with 370hp and a 5.4L would be the ticket for me. I just bought a F-150 Lariet and it is beautiful. I did that since the 05 GT wasn't what I expected. Those HUGE fogs are too much. Make them smaller and drop them under the grill into the lower bumpers. Give it concept tail-lites and vents over those backseat windows. A concept hood would look cool too!

I'm not concerned about what carried the Mustang thru the fuel crisis.... I just think it's FUGLY. The IFS on the Mustang II also was one of the best things to happen to the Mustang at the time... I'm just glad I was only 4 years old when they changed to the Fox body.... I didn't have to suffer through that era.

Remember the Mustang II engines were caried over to the fox. And they droped the 5.0 from the lineup in 80 so the fox stangs had LESS HP than the mustang II. Looks are what really matter, and I would rather drive something that resembles a mustang and not an 80's Escort GT.

I can barely afford a GT when insurance is added to the mix.

If I were to get a Mach 1 I would want to keep it more or less stock, because its 'special' in my mind.

However, with a GT I can make it 'my own'

I will need a car in the next 12 months. I'm waiting until spring to make a decision. If a Mach is coming out for 2006, we will probably know it by the start of Summer. Then I'll know if I want to wait or not.

If a Mach comes out that is half as slick as the 2003-2004 Mach, I'll probably wait for it. Especially if the rumors of a ~370hp 5.4L motor are true...
Do you think that it will be naturally aspirated ~370 hp? or will they have modded it?

Those are AWESOME trucks! Got any pics...?

I want one of those AND the new Stang. Actually, what I REALLY want is next year's Lincoln LT pickup and a Stang.

Gonna have to choose between one or the other, but it's good to dream...

I plan on keeping my next Stang for a very long time. So I want something special. An S.E. ( Mach1, Boss etc.) is really what I am waiting for!
If all fails, I'll get another GT or wait even longer and get a Cobra.

remember that the engines from the 68-73 were carried over to the Mustang II (the 302W) They dropped the body style from the lineup in '79 becuase the Mustang II was actually uglier than the Fox Mustangs... And since you can make ANYTHING fast, I'd rather drive a Fox, or any other Mustang than something that resembles a late '70s Pinto.

To each his own, Brutha.... I'm not sittin' here diggin' you 'cause you like the Mustang II.... I just think it looks more like a polished turd than anything else. We could go back and forth all day about pros and cons of either, and we're still gonna be right back where we started.... me likin' Mustangs, and you likin' Mustangs.

So we'll just settle on the simple fact that Mustang IIs were ugly as sin, and we're all glad that era's over now.
