I'm guessing those of you getting sub $600 per 6-month numbers have....

A) Over 25
B.) Married
C) Other Insurance/Accounts with insurer
D) Long standing clean record
E) Long standing account with insurer
F) Have states where car insurance is generally lower

My ex is from Montana and car insurance is dirt cheap compared to Washington.
Yup !
You guessed me correctly...All of the Above !

except for option (F) I live in CA and insurance rates are pretty high here.

Well I'm rolling up on 25 (1.5 years), my record will be clean on next renewal (dec), not married, some-what long standing relationship with State Farm, I do have life insurance & ROTH IRA through them (more discounts!), Washington is expensive to insure (and difficult, many smaller insurange agencies have pulled out of Washington).

So I unfortunately am in the "darned if you do, darned if you don't" category.

But I'll still get my stang!

Got my insurance quote a week ago...

I'm 25, married, and living in CO (fairly high insturance rates). I also have had no tickets or accidents.

My insurance is going to be around $580 for 6 months for a GT.
The agent told me that the rates they quote you now are going to be fairly accurate, since official testing of the vehicle may take a year or two to complete and therefore figure into the premium.

When I got my auto insurance in the beginning, I shopped around a TON, and ended up with American Express insurance through Costco. They've been really great to me so far too...

I hope something I've said here is useful. If not...just thought I'd throw in my two cents.
thats fairly high insurance??
