Some dude is selling a 05 GT on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...0&category=6236

He spun this rather tall story about why he's selling it - just read it.

Anyhow, I don't believe a word of it.

What do u think?

LordBritish,
I think you're right. :notnice: All the Terms and Conditions make it look like a professional outfit, not just some guy who suddenly had his wife start yelling at him.

yeah- i also read that he will trade for a custom car for equal or greater value... well if his wife's griping at him for buying the mustang cuz it gets in the way of "honey do's" then how is any other custom car or whatever not get in the way of her time..... doesn't make sense-

Those stripes even looked photoshopped on . . . Look at the end of the hood. Or just a really bad job!

I don't get the spin that the taxes have already been paid by this guy. At least here in NY (and I think most, if not all other states) the new owner pays taxes on the amount paid for the used car at registration.

I think he's FOS.

Yep....something looks fishy here. Check these shipping terms:

Shipping
The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. We will assist the buyer with finding a shipping company that we use (We recommend Elite Transportation Co. at 1-800-470-9904) Elite is fully insured and bonded. Any questions about quote or shipping expenses please call Elite. We assume no responsibility for damages incurred after leaving our premises. If the vehicle is going to be shipped, full payment must be received before the vehicle is delivered to the shipping company.

Doesn't it seem a little odd that he has a shipping company that he uses and recommends?

Sounds like someone trying to make some above MSRP deal on a used car...

:notnice:

I guess if the price is right, it doesn't matter who is selling it (dealership or private party). B) I think the narrow stripes look like crap though....

Regardless if the guy is a crook or not, I would never buy a car off someone with only 1 feedback.

Also notice that the reserve has not yet been met - high bidder is $26,100.

That's not an auto, it a manual so why has the reserve not yet been met at 26K?

Something doesn't add up here.

My guess would also be a dealer. I remember seeing that thing about the car transport service on another ebay auction that was through a dealer.

Plus, only a dealer would put a crappy stripe job like that on a beautiful car to mess it up.

If you notice at the botom he said that the reserve is close to 29.5K (proabably $29,499.99).

But he also says that he has to ditch the car or else his wife will castrate him?

At $29.5K, he obvioiusly ain't that desperate is he?

Sounds like a douche bag trying to make buck. Even if it is just some guy, I would never buy anything from anyone who refers to themself using the royal "we."

Hey I don't have a dealership or a wife that's telling me to sell but at $29,500, I build another one. This is bull and it won't sell. Banum and balley here's another one born.
