I think I want one as well! It gives some sort of a complete finish to the engine unlike the black covers.. ^_^
Count me as looking for one from Steeda or another after market if Ford does not make it available.. B)

I like it as well. Really dresses up the engine compartment, imo.

Face it, it's a muscle car, it's all about the engine, so dress it up nicely!!

I may get flamed for this, but does anyone else think it makes the intake look like the TPI on a 87 camaro?
without the cover, it looks very plain, like the LS1's in the Camaro.

This cover will be available in the aftermarket.. bet on it.

I can't believe Ford is not going to put it on the Mustang.

Hey Ford .... put the cover on ..... What is a few more $$. That piece can't be but a few bucks to produce ....

I like the cover. If they don't deliver it with the car, I hope they'll make it at least available through aftermarket...

Wow am I in the minority here. I couldn't care less if the engine had the cover. Yes, it looks nice, but it's just a useless piece of plastic that could end up being a rattle source. For those who want it, I do hope that it will be available in the aftermarket at a reasonable (cheap) price for you.

When I mentioned to him the disappointment about it not being offered, he asked if I would forward him the link to a forum thread that says "WE WANT THIS."

If you would like to do it, please post here. He would forward it on to those responsible for reviewing this type of feedback.
Not to hijack your thread, but a poll may work easier for those in favor of the cover

The cover looks like it belongs there. Its a small dress up item, but one would get/order.

I wish they would take more of a designers eye to the basic castings and other mechanical pieces themselves rather than creating functional but drab bits and then covering them all up with plastic.

Look at the motor of, say, an Audi S4

or Ferrari Modena

or even the Alfa Romeo V6

Even a lot of older Stangs seemed to have a better integration between design and engineering on many of the older Hi-Po motors. Just things like better routing of wires and tubing can do much to clean up and enhance the aesthetics of an engine bay, getting away from the bowl of spaghetti look.

Don't need the cover. I will be putting a supercharger in place of a plastic cover. I would rather haul but than stare at the cover.

I would like the cover too. Who wouldn't? It only adds to the car. Sure it's under the hood but what is the first thing someone does when looking at your sports car? They open the hood! B)

I'm going to look into aftermarket for that. But I'm not spending big bucks on a stupid cover

I think it looked much better with the cover. I don't like opening my hood and just seeing black. The cover gives it a nicer look, a little easier on the eyes.
