As Evil Capri posted, the intake will not have the cover (as also previously reported here) and will have the fuel line under it. The same Ford engineer mentioned that the cover was done as a display piece and the decision to not offer it was for a variety of reasons other than fitment. He said the engine cover was originally designed to fit under the closed hood with the hood insulator pad in place. It's good to know the design was originally considered to be as we would expect.

When I mentioned to him the disappointment about it not being offered, he asked if I would forward him the link to a forum thread that says "WE WANT THIS."

If you would like to do it, please post here. He would forward it on to those responsible for reviewing this type of feedback.

EDIT: The picture below of "Powered by Ford" is to what I am referring as the cover. Moderator, feel free to change the title of this to "Intake Cover" or whatever you feel is more descriptive.

Why would ya want to hide the engine? Isn't this what the hood is for?

(Oh, yeah, I want a sunroof and an SMG)

I, for one, loved the intake cover. It reminds me of the old displacement decals on classic Mustangs. If they don't offer it from the factory, I hope they give the mold to Steeda or someone.

Wait are we talking about that engine cover that brad just pictured or the cover from the concept that covered the top of the entire engine compartment?

the engine just looks so out of place w/o it. i mean atleast make it a dealer option or something. i think it really makes the engine stand out espicially w/ the Powered By Ford on there

The "Powered By Ford" cover looks good. I would personally like to have it. It doesnt cover the engine like most foreign companies do. It is a bit of eye candy under the hood, but I wouldn't whine about not having one either. If an aftermarket one is cheap enough, which I kind of doubt it, I may just get it and put it over the intake manifold.

According to the Ford engineer, the CAD data was passed to Ford Racing. Perhaps it will get made as an aftermarket part.

definately could do that. and that way... you would never have to have flames painted coming out of the hood because there'll be real flames there

but i would love that Powered by Ford engine cover as well. AS A NO COST OPTION
