Wheel shake problem PLEZ HELP !!!
My wheel shakes from 40-55 mph. I have an 04 GT and cant seem to figure problem out. I have been to the tire place about ten times now, seriously, and cant find the problem. Brand new tires, stock rims, which arent bent, all suspension is fine. Tires have been road balanced and are exactly on. Very frustrating problem which only occurs on low speeds 40-55. I even had my front rotors re surfaced. PLEZ HELP !!!

I had said 'driveshaft' but then figured out "Oh, steering wheel." To which I'd add 'check the alignment, and although you've been to the tire store 10 times, check the amount of weight on the wheels... if there's a lot on one, then flip the tire 180 and see if that doesn't fix it.
Also... does it matter which wheels are on the front? Have you looked inside for mud?
Not that you'd be muddin' but just sayin'. Maybe someone's having fun at your expense.

Find someone in your area that does tire truing. Most tire shops quit doing it because it cut down on the number of tires they sold but in reality every tire should be trued when it is put on a rim. The rim may balance and the tire may balance on the rim but it still does not mean it is true. Think about it ... every race team trues its tires before they ever hit the track. Most people think that truing or shaving is taking life off of a tire but it is making it round thus making it ride smoother and wear even.
