My friend has a 2003 F-150 Harley Davidson Super Charged truck. he recently installed this tuner in his car and got much better shifting and a decent amount of hp. He's been telling me to get it but i'm not really sure if its worth it. I'm thinking he got such great response due to the supercharger. Has anyone used this tuner on their car?
btw i've got a 2004 Mustang GT (Auto

Increasing line pressure through the computer which is what that does is bad for the transmisson and he shouldnt do that, he should by a shift kit instead, it would be safer. Now, are you talking about buying a chip or a SCT max tuner?

yeah this isn't a chip its just a max tuner. apparently it has different settings, and a reset to put it back to factory settings. Its supposed to add 14hp and allow me to adjust the tuning/shifting.

oh yeah, one more quick word, do NOT adjust shifting with that through the computer, just buy a shift kit, they are relatively cheap. here is the link Click here My uncle has this same kit in his F-150 and its a jolt of a shift, its awesome. The one for your car would be the 4R70 valve body, its towards the bottom of the page.

For any ford powered vehicle, I wouldnt go through just basic superchips, I would defintely go to SCT (SuperChips Custom Tune), http://www.superchipscustom.com. The guys working at SCT acctually engineered alot of the ECU codes and tranny designs for ford. Jerry W of SCT acctually designed the 4r70w you guys are runing in the mustangs and F150's. He knows his stuff and acctually does raise the line pressure to certain extents (read: Safe points)

yeah, i think i'm gonna go with the superchip tuner. it seems pretty safe as long as i don't set it at anything too crazy. i've been meaning to get it this past week but in between jobs and school i've had no time. but once i do get it and install it, i'm gonna post and give my feed back on it. thanks for all the responses.
