im thinking about buying some 4 new tires for a smoother ride, so what are the best tires out there? i was riding in a jeep patriot and it has firestone tires so can they be compatible for the mustang too? it's 1996 ford mustang gt

 

You wanna put Jeep tires on a Mustang?!? Surely not...

Firestone does make the correct size and type to run on a Mustang. However, Tire Rack, Tires.com, and others will have many reviews on tires, and they should be a decent guide for you.

 

What kind of tires are you looking for? All season or more of a summer tire?
Here's a test on a bunch of summer tires.

 

You should look at what's called Eagle GT by Goodyear. That's what I have. It's pretty quiet, it handles well but not too stiff

I have those - really like them.

 

I'd go with the V12 Evo's from Hankook. I'm running the BFG KDW2's and as they wear, they get loud as hell. I won't be buying them again.
