I was thinking about getting new projector headlights and clear corner lights. Has anyone else done this or replaced their lights with something else?

My uncle has projectors and lightning corners in his truck and he loves them. He had clear corners and projectors in his old truck but clear corners are illegal.

I replaced the clear ones to the smoked ones in my 2000 when I had it. It was simple to do - like 15 minutes

I say go with the clear corners. However as far as the smoked headlights, I am not the biggest fan of them. My friend has them on his green '97 gt and they don't look too bad actually, but i prefer the stock or projector headlights. The cobra headlights are real nice.

Going to buy new headlights and replace the amber cornerlight on the drivers side since it got cracked. Anyone know a good place to buy them? I heard the "crystal clear" ones aren't legal. I'm not going to go with the projectors.

I ordered the Cobra lights with clear corner lights. The cobra housing has the black edging on the inside. I got them from UPR. I'll post more info on the install process when I'm done.

I need to replace the headlights on my 99 GT...they are getting hazy. Even at only 53,400 miles. I am going with the smoked ones, since I loved them on the 00' R Cobra when it debuted.

Here are a couple of pictures of the new lights. Much better light when driving and the corner lights turned out to be okay, I wasn't too sure but it looks good with the amber light.

buy the yellow lights w/ the white coating so that you dont get that nasty fried-egg look.

Looks great! And I just want to say how awesome the paint looks on your car for a '97 model! Great job on keeping it up!

Thanks. You know you are doing good when the dealer service department guys and mechanics tell you it's one of the cleaner cars they have seen. There's a performance shop here that mainly works on Mustangs (See MM&FF for MAS performance in an upcoming issue) and they said the same thing. I know where all the knicks and scratches are though.

Oh, I got rid of the clear corner lights and put the factory ones back in. The weather stripping was too big and came off (unglued) after driving in one rain storm. The headlights still kick butt.
