I had Magnaflows installed a few weeks back. It was the mufflers only because I still wanted the tail pipes to look stock.
I like the sound a lot and I have been told it will get better with time. I am glad they are not like the Flowmasters I have heard.
I like them

Which would give you more HP and TQ? Flowmasters or Magnaflow?
I have 40 series Flowmasters on my Stang and I love the way it sounds, but if the Magnaflows would improve HP and TQ I would change them.

Magnaflows are dyno proven to flow better. Its a straight through design over the flowmasters chamber'd design. Flowmasters sound great with an O/R H-pipe... Magnaflows sound amazing with anything. I Have magnaflows on the mystic with a Mac o/r H-pipe and its mean at 7,000 rpm. its sorta obnoxious between 2-3krpm, but above 4,000 it screams.

ok..
say you are cruising at 50mph in 5th w/ my 4.10 gears that puts me about 1800rpm. If I put the pedal all the way to the floor it slowly starts climbing (way under my powerband). The exhaust sound between 2k - 3k rpm sounds like a old chevy truck with rusted out exhaust and half-existent glasspacks. It is just nasty. Once the car hits 3500, it starts getting better, 4,000 rpm it starts screaming.

i've put on a bassani X-pipe on a 96 cobra. fit and finish was great, sound was awesome.. magnaflow and bassani are pretty equal in my opinion.

Full exhaust meaning X or H pipe and cat-back or just cat-back? I was going to ask if anyone knew how Magnaflow sounded. Let me know.

ionchild....... I have full magnaflow xpipe w/ cats. I love the sound and I did feel more power. I also have the k&n air charger. Haven't had it dynoed yet so I couldn't tell you #'s. I'm assuming somewhere 410 or so. The sound is awsome. It is not the typical metalic sound. At idle you really can't tell, but when you get on it it sounds sweet. It also seems to have gotten louder over time. i just installed magnaflow system on my 91 lx and it is bery quiet compared to my 03 cobra. I know it will get louder but I hope I will be as happy as with the o3. By the way you did figure out that the green light was your taction control, right?

HAHA...ya I did figured that out, I feel like a dope for even asking. Well your setup seems to be what I had in mind so maybe Ill give it a go. Besides, the Magnaflow is about $300 cheaper than Bassani is so Im glad to hear it sounds good. Thanks for the feedback.

OK, answer this question on my 03 GT. What would be the best exhaust?
I am looking for 40 year old sound, not 20 yr. old loud! This is on my daily driver, that is stock.(up till now, but not for long)
