my GT won't start

Check the wires to the crank sensor and make sure they are ok.

ok so does anyone know anything about this **** theft system? can i just get a new chip for my key or is there a way to bypass or disconnect the system any help would be greatly appreciated i need to get my horse going again before i go nuts

mike, you can't bypass it and the key can't be serviced. it has to be replaced if bad. you really need to have it scanned to see what the cause of the problem is.if you can get your hands on a code reader and get a code i can decifer it.

so can the scanners they have at auto zone or advanced auto do it or do i have to go to a ford garage?? with it being christmas and all i can't afford to pay ford to do it

yea they'll work just make sure it's obd II compatable.

Almost every garage will have a code reader. All 1996 and above have to be OBDII compatible for the emissions. It only makes sense that if you are going to be working with cars then you should have one. I have used mine 3 times this week. Cleared code of my friends Caprice (faulty EGR valve) other friends car showing running lean (not fixed yet) and data logging on my ZX2.
Buy one with a custom tune and let the good times roll, and your friends will love you when they see the dreaded 'Check engine' surfacing on their console.
