My adventure this weekend
A friend of mine has a 04 gt vert and as weird as it sounds I have never rode in a 99-04 stang. I was glad to know there was a little more room than I thought. The 05 should be just fine since my buddy is 6' 3" in the front seat. I was in the back still had a few inches. Oh yeah... and we got to test out the front end of the car too.
The driver (my other friend) was showing off a little bit and we lost control and hit an embankment and then a tree. Fortunately we were all ok but the front and was pretty messed up. That will make me think twice before getting too crazy in my 05 stang. Especially since it's packin' a few more hp's. Just thought I would share. :notnice:

Dan, aren't you in Canada?
Either way, I get your point. Luckily, there is a lower chance of that happening in the new Mustangs because of the better weight distribution. But I am sure that is offset by the HP increase

yep............0-60 is all that matters to me on the streets. if i want to go faster i have a dragstrip 35 minutes from my house. i might speed a little usually around 10 over i like paying little for insurance that way it isnt the deciding factor in the car i really want to get
I agree with conv stang....there is a reason for tracks. Will I go the speed limit all the way on my cross country trip, no. Will I be reckless, no. I'll be driving through Wyoming and Nebraska, long straight roads, I won't go more then 8-10 over the speed limit on the highway.

Kind of like the parents who bought their 16 year old-very responsible-staight a student a '04 mustang for his birth last week. He killed him self and 2 of the 3 passengers because he was trying just see how fast it would go.

Its just amazing what parents will do because they think their child is "responsible"
I totally agree, in the words of my buddy "the streets are not for racing."
Some people I'm sure will say "I've been racing on the street and have never gotten hurt" well someday it will catch up with them one way or another.
Glad to hear everyone was okay in the accident!
