I just installed my Steeda Tri-ax shifter in my '04 GT. Everything was well and good until I went to screw the shift ball back on. It's a full 180 degree turn from being straight (Instead of 1 in the top left, it's upside down "R"). The reason I asked Mach 1 owners to look is because my GT came with the silver Mach 1 shift ball. Did any of you run into this problem and is there a simple way to fix it?

Thanks

Try dropping something into the hole in the ball until it sets right for you.
I've used steel putty and let it set where you want it, then use loc-tite to secure the ball so it doesn't rotate out of order.

Wonderfully! It's notchier and much much shorter than the factory shifter.. no longer feels like I'm choking a rubber chicken when I shift. Now if I can just get that stupid ball on right...

I have a Tri-Ax, but I have a Hurst Stick, and T-Handle. Sorry I can't help, but I agree with 'wild stray'.
