Installing a 99-04 stereo into 94 cobra

I am putting a 99-04 6 disk changer into a 94 cobra and would like any info you can give me on this i think there may be a harness we can buy for this install but not sure thanks for your help in advance.

I dont think anyone specifically makes a harness for it doing that swap.

What you could do, although it'd be a bit of work and you'd need a wireing diagram for both year model cars involved. Find a wrecked car with the correct harness to hook into your 6-disk and cut all the connectors out that would hook into the disk.

Then what you will want to do is go to a stereo shop or bestbuy or something, and get the wiring harness adapter that hooks into your 94 harness like you would use if adding an aftermarket radio.

Once you have the harness for yours, splice it in with the connectors from the wrecked car that hook into your new headunit. This is where hte diagrams will come into play so you know which wire is which.

It should be pretty straight forward, just going to require a bit of time and effort on your part.

Oh yeah, you'll also have to use the radio mount area from a 01+ stang in order to have a place to mount the 6-disk since it wont work in a 94-00 single din mount area.
