just shy of 150 i think? Theoretically in 4th gear bumping the rev limiter with a 245/45R17 you'd hit 146.

Personally I've been just north of 140 going for a bonzai run, but I was catching up to traffic and didn't want to tempt fate.

There is no top speed limiter of these cars. You are drag limited. Basically you are limited to the top speed that the power your car creates vs how well that power can push that object to that speed. Usually its in the low 140 range in a 99+ GT.

Was that directed toward me? (just curious?)

this is actually what I said

"Theoretically in 4th gear bumping the rev limiter with a 245/45R17 you'd hit 146."

Now if you had the power to pull 5th gear all the way to the rev limiter, you'd hit 217

Wasn't directed at anyone in particular, just the topic in general. I was just stating that there was no electronic or mechanical governor on the car, since it hadnt been made clear yet in the thread.

You were right on your calcs and theory

Going downhill on a straight road (such as I 59 from Mississippi) stock, you can top out somewhere around 150.. a little above as you can't really see anything above that point.

Yeah I know. I finally adjusted the firewall settings to allow me to access the forums here. Still not sure what the problem was.
