High pitch noise from 5.0
High pitch noise from 5.0
Hi I just bought a 1994 GT 5.0 and I recently drove it with the windows down and i noticed that there is a loud whistle type noise coming from what i can tell is the rear of the engine. Its not noticeable at idle but around 1000 rpm you start to hear it and it increases in volume as the rpm increases.Ive read other posts talking about alternators and such but i was just wondering if there might be something else for me to check. Its kinda hard to explain the sound its not a straight whistle saound per say it kind of reverberates and the frequency increases with rpm almost like a bearing is going out. This is the first mustang ive ever looked under the hood at so im a little lost plz help ! And of course thanks for the help.
