I have a 2001 mustang gt and want to remove the insert from the hood scoop. Any done this? And can you tell me how you did it?

Open the hood there is a heat shield on the bottom of the hood. It is held in by little pins. Pry them out with a screwdriver. Now there should be 4 bolts visible that line up with the scoop on the
underside of the hood. Remove those and pull off the scoop. It will be dirty under there.
