i know its ALOT easier to work on, but its pretty obvious that FI is btter considering all the major car manafaturers are some form of fuel injection

to go to carb you'll have to pull the efipump out of the tank install a timing cover with the mounting place for a mechanical fuel pump and get a 4bbl intake or get aftermarket fuel rails and a bypass fuel pressure regulator so the carb will only get 5-7 psi of pressure and the rest goes back to the tank the 45 psi that the in tank pump puts out will blow all the seals out of a carb

for a daily driver, stick to EFI. carbs have come a long way though, but EFI has proven itself very adaptable to the different operating conditions a daily driver is subject to.

I don't think you would get any more power out of a carb unless you drastically changed the intake. For the money involved, you can do a lot more to a EFI setup to make more power.

The main reasons major manufactures went to FI is that they can get better fuel mileage out of the car and lower emissions as well. They have much more control with the computer and this is important as they must be able to guarantee that the emissions won’t change over the service life of the car.

emissions.. is not a priority of mine.. its not emissions legal anymore.. i didn't plan on changing to carb because i of the MPG. i am getting frustrated with my EFI i can't get my intake backfire to go away. i think it might be ruining lean.

Maybe a timing issue instead of fuel.
A lot of backfires are caused by something being wrong with the spark and when it goes off relative to the position of the piston, not how much fuel is going through the engine.

hahahaha switching from fuel injection to a carb that does not make any sense to me unless your someone that likes wasting money to make your engine less efficent or your someone who likes to work on their car using an arrow heads to adjust their a/f ratio
