How long do you have on your factory clutch, or how many miles were on it when it was replaced? The owner of SPEC clutches was amazed when I told him my '01 still shifts perfectly after 71K miles on the stock clutch. He said most people only get about 35K out of theirs.

I replaced mine at around 25K. Had my buddy that worked at the dealership put it and the gear in at the same time for no charge. When you do get ready to change it make sure to put a new pilot shaft bearing in. I didnt when I replaced mine at 25k and it got a horrible vibration at around 36K. My synchros went out and I bought a 3650 and when we went to put it in we noticed the PSB was totally shot. Just a heads up so that you dont have that same prob.

Mine wasnt so much the clutch as it was the TOB squealing. I went ahead and had him put a clutch in though since he already had the tranny out. Brad I will tell you though dont go with a king cobra clutch. I talked to D&D and they told me that clutch is the reason my tranny messed up they said it catches to hard for a stock t45. Oh yeah one more thing dont get a ford TOB I had two of them break on me before I finally bought a ram.

OT: I have over 87,000 miles on my Probe GT's stock clutch. She's still going. No signs of slipage <crosses fingers>.

With my 90 LX, I managed to get to 81K before it needed replacing.

My ranger I used to have went to 130k. Couldve easily gone for more if I still had it. Everything was good on it. I cant find any used vehicles near the shape my ranger was.
The ranger saw alot of city driving too in most of its life. No long trips on it.
