ok my car is acting really weird. When it's cold out and I take it out, to say subway or something, it sometimes just dies wile driving.

This happens when I am putting on the brakes slowing down and have the clutch in to shift. I will feel the steering go hard and a hard brake pedal.

I can start it up and drive away fine but it happened 2 times yesterday and 3 times today withing 20min of each other.

The IAC has been replaced 2 times under Ford warranty and they tightened up the ground wires for my ECU cause they thought that a wire was shorting it out since it was loose.

Had a similar problem, irratic idle speed and the car would stall coming to a stop and on occasion would not restart, the dealer did not have a clue and changed the fuel pump and IAC for nothing, only after I insisted they change the crankshaft position sensor was the problem fixed, could be something else of course but have that checked...

ok I figured it out.....the source finally showed itself. I was driving home (2.5hrs) for spring break and my temp gauge never came above the first set of three dots.

Come to find out I have a bad thermostat that sends my engine into a open loop and would just run rich flooding my engine making it stall at random.

Fixed that and not a hiccup since!! yay!
