Hi there - Well I think my car is a lemon. From the check engine light (small leak on the evaporative sytem) to rear noise on the differential/bearings, to major leak on the top, to CD that do not want to leave the CD player, to sway bar bracket broken, to fog lights that needs to be changed often, etc...I loved that car when I got it, and I am a big Ford fan, but buying Japanese may just make so much smore sense now.

Anybody has a tip on how to fix the leak? It is coming from the 2 bottom corners of the glass window. I checked the weather strips, and they look OK.

I sent Ford 4 letters of complaints, and guess what....they just do not care! I guess it does mean Find On the Road Dead afterall

Thx all

Did you buy the car new? How many miles? Answers to questions like this are helpful. Btw, my CD player used to hang onto cds that had been in awhile, I started taking them out after playing and no more hangups.
The only real problem would be the leak, overall it sound like any nearly 6 yr old car.

I bought it in Dec 2001 with 19K miles on it. Never pushed it. The rear differential noise is coming from water going thru the expansion valve of the rear axle, and mising with the oil. The lubrification not being done properly anymore, the spyder gears inside the differential started to worn out, and pieces of metal got into the bearings which is producing the noise. Now if that is not a conceptual problem, then I am damned. Ford is saying that they do not have tracks of problems like that which is weird since I do 5 Mustang owners with the same noise....

As far as the leak, I just talked to the Ford dealership, and they think it could be a tear in the top underneath the metal covert that goes around the trunk. Best bet is to take it to a upholstery shop according to them.
