Cold air kit

Are the 50-70 dollar eBay kits just as good as the name brands for 175 and up?

On my other car I made one from 4" exhaust tubing, a spectre filter, and some silicone connectors for about 50 bucks

I'm changing out the dizzy, new plugs and wires. It needs an air filter, so I thought I'd get one. Maybe put a k&n on the eBay kit

If your state is moody about the smog bull crap. It would be worth it to go with the name brand because it'll come with a sticker saying its 49 state CARB legal or something and the smogger mechanic won't be like "you can't smog it here without that sticker..."

All of this can be avoided of you have "a guy" to go to
