Started my 94 5.0 up after eating lunch ang it was idling at 2750 RPM. I looked at the thing's like throttle linkage ect and can not figure what else to look at. I installed a new map sensor but still idles very high. Recommended fix's???

 

Is the blade in the throttle body opening and closing completely?

 

everything is opening and closing as it should.

 

Next thing I can think of is throttle position sensor or maybe a vacuum leak.

 

Might Clean or Replace Idle Air Valve. When it Sticks it Will Cause Idle Issues. If It Sticks Again in the Meantime Tap it With Hammer Not Too Hard Now & See if Idle Drops. If it Does You Hit the Nail on the Head! If Not Still Deserves Some Attention!
