40th Anniversary Package?
#1
I'm the first to admit that I know very little about the current Mustangs - but I did think that the 40th anniversary celebration was limited to a front fender badge...
But a burgundy GT convertible pulled up to the pump next to me (at a filling station) today. I told the owner how striking his car was and he told me it was the "40th Anniversary Package." As I said, the car itself was a rich burgundy (with a tan top), but it also had gold GT-style rocker stripes and gold LeMans striping on the hood and trunk lid. Bullitt wheels and tan leather interior (with some brushed aluminum appointments) made it look good enough to eat! I believe he told me it was also available in black...
Anyone else know of this 40th Anniversary appearance package? Is it widely available and I'm just not aware of it? Just trying to educate myself! B)

From Timeline: 2004 Mustangs:
A 40th Anniversary edition package was available on V6 and GT models. It came in three colors including Black, Oxford White, and Crimson Red, which was only available on the 40th Anniversary models. They came with premium wheels, 40th Anniversary floormats, body-colored fold-in mirrors, and Arizona Beige stripes on the rocker panels, hood, roof, and trunk. They also came standard with the interior upgrade package which included larger headrests and silver interior trim. Ford made 5700 of them. The package was an $895 upgrade.

Still not that much of an impressive package as the 1999 "Limited Edition".
It was "GT' only in 1999. see www.mustang35th.com
